Holdout is a game with a single global leaderboard. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics. This page describes everything it collects.
One thing, and only when a run ends after you have chosen a display name:
That is the whole submission. There is no account, no email address, no password, no location, no contacts, no photos, and no device or advertising identifier of any kind.
Your progress — scrap, traits, weapons, crew, gems, records and settings — is saved locally and is never transmitted. It is not backed up anywhere, which also means it is lost if you uninstall the app. RESET ACCOUNT in the game's settings erases it immediately and permanently.
Submitted scores are stored using Vercel Blob storage, provided by Vercel Inc., which also hosts the game's website. Vercel processes this data on our behalf as a hosting provider. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers — there are none involved.
To show a leaderboard. That is the only purpose. A leaderboard cannot rank runs without storing the runs, and it cannot label them without a name to put beside them.
Leaderboard entries are kept until they are deleted on request, so that a score set long ago still appears where it was earned.
Email games@tinybig.ai with the display name you used, and every score under that name will be deleted. You do not need to give a reason. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, and to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Holdout does not knowingly collect anything from anyone that would identify them, at any age. It shows no advertising and performs no tracking or profiling. The only field a player can type is a display name of their own choosing.
If what the game collects ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
